English Dome with Dog
This should almost be titled "untitled". I was at a
dear friends estate sale and happened upon this
dome, which I remember fondly sitting on her
dining room table. The dealers from H&B Gallery
(having the sale), had removed the french costumed
doll and horrific dried flowers, so it became a clean
element that just called out for my dear jack russell
Fannie once I got home and wanted test shooting
it. The resin heads from costume designer friend
Jack Edwards sale were my first choice, but they
looked beyond creepy.

AUTHENTIC LIFESTYLE INSPIRED FURNITURE
GANNON CREEK is a recently formed company I am
creative directing. It's primarily cedar furniture made by the
Naicatchawenin community on the shores of Rainy Lake, but will
include product design and discovery of needful things in the future.
I shot and styled the shots being used for the web and promotional
materials this past summer.

ROCKS at ATSOKAN ISLAND

Summer at Atsokan Island. This is some of the stone work we all love, done by Joe Miller, the original Swiss caretaker. He left touches all over the island that I appreciate on a daily basis. And then there are the natural rock formations, which are supposed to be some of the oldest exposed rocks in the world. Even older than the grand canyon if you can believe it.

FOOD AND FLOWERS
With all the grandeur at Versailles and the Orangerie full of food and flowers, the best moment for me was the bird (that we saw during set up) soaring the length of the vaulted ceiling during
the event. Only slightly overshadowing Ivan Trump sitting on her boyfriends lap, and the fireworks (in the manner of the 18th century) after dessert.

Versailles
Caught standing in the Orangerie at Versailles. Producing events on behalf of the American Friends of Versailles has been a nice addition to my career for some 12 years.
RELIC jewelry
Lisa Fagen and I spent a couple days shooting her jewelry for her company RELIC. This is one of my favorite shots.
LODGE LIVING ROOM
Lodge living room at ATSOKAN. Updated in the early 1930's the original log structure of this room was built in 1915, with the help of naturalist Ernest Oberholtzer.
CABIN GUEST ROOM
Guest room of a cabin at ATSOKAN. Three single beds form a banquette with vintage Hudson Bay blankets. A French floor grate was turned into a chandelier in the 1930's. Moose hide strip chair was made on the island by Joe Meuller, a former Swiss caretaker in the 1920's.

INTERNATIONAL OPEN HOUSE, t.v. series
I enjoyed my time with the crew (hand picked by Tremendous Entertainment) while working on the show International Open House for the TRAVEL CHANNEL. I will be posting some of my favorite finds on those trips here in still shot form. What amazed me the most was the high level of INTERNATIONAL STYLE we saw in the eight cities we visited. And the people in those homes were all great examples of authentic design and style.
